My name is Yuhe Han, and I am 15 years old. Alongside my parents, I have resided in Denmark and Sweden, where I have been living in the latter for the past 5 years. In these 5 years, I have grown from a naive child in the fourth grade, to become a more mature 10th grade high schooler. I have several interests and hobbies which I enjoy doing in my free time. These include reading, writing, ice skating, dancing, playing the piano among others. As of now, I have 8 years of experience in playing the piano. Although I faced the pressure of high school applications and exams this year, I did not allow myself to fall behind on playing the piano, proven by how I received the certificate for the Association of the Royal Schools of Music Performance Grades in which I achieved a merit score this April. Moreover, in the 2016 and 2017 Stockholm International Music Competition, I received the 3rd and 2nd place respectively; in the 2018 Steinway Piano Competition, I got the 3rd place; and most recently, in the 2021 International Competition IMPRESSIONS, I received the 3rd place. In my free time, I enjoy helping those around me, and doing community service. Generally, I will tutor piano, as well as English to kids younger than me in the embassy. I also like to bake and create artworks for fundraisers to help countries and children who are in need. Furthermore, I have also gone to elderly homes, bringing with me traditional Chinese food, and introducing Chinese culture to them.

Due to the pandemic, it has been almost 2 years since I have returned to China. I hope that the situation will resolve quickly, and that everyone will be able to return to a peaceful and normal life. I also look forward to the official beginning of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and witnessing the figure skating event where I will be able to gaze upon each and every athlete’s own unique style.
